The major sociological factors expand in our lives in many ways. We experience them daily with human interaction, including at home, at work, socializing, and figuring out who we are and who we want to be. Poverty and unemployment rates have been at an all-time high in America. Social problems are affected by this when there are higher-level government, entertainment, and influencers who could make such a difference in this world of struggle. To contribute to the people who can't even live the American life because of prices of living. " The poverty rate shows overall trends, but the total number of people also matters; many aid programs and funding decisions are based on the number of people in poverty, not the percentage. In 2024, that was 35.9 million people, down 4.2% from the 2014 peak of 46.7 million".

I chose to investigate the first option, which examines income rates according to race, gender, and location. The chart I examined, from the 2020 household income data, showed the lowest amount of income versus the top percentiles. The top percentiles had rates like 32.5 - 40, while low-income rates ranged from 5-10%. The city and state we live in also affect the amount of money people make and need to live. The top earners seem to be mostly older white men. While in some cities, poverty ranges across all races and locations.
