We experience them daily with human interaction, including at home, at work, socializing, and figuring out who we are and who we want to be. Poverty and unemployment rates have been at an all-time high in America. Social problems are affected by this when there are higher-level government, entertainment, and influencers who could make such a difference in this world of struggle.   Children, Families, and Schools    SYG 2010, Children, Families, Schools Alyssa Richardson 3/11      The three theories and perspectives are crucial to life and understanding the diverse stories and experiences encountered through the people we meet. Everyone's family has a different story and different hardships. For example, when we first meet a friend, we know nothing about them, but then we get to know them better. Functionalism is crucial to education and adaptation. The education exposes us to experiences out of the norm for social interaction.           Conflict theory argues that highlighting the role of social changes and adaptation builds kids into stronger people.     Crime and Criminal Justice SYG 2010, Crime, Criminal Justice Alyssa R The major sociological perspectives include Functionalism, Conflict Theory, and Symbolic Interaction Theory. In criminal justice, we are all united and follow the same set of rules and regulations set up by the government . Functionalism Conflict theory comes into play when a criminal of defendant is thinking about what decisions they will make. We all have a conscience and have different ways of making decisions.  Blog 3 alcohol and drug’s Alyssa R SYG 2010, Alcohol, Drugs   Alcohol and drugs are a mix of evil in this world. When you have a family member who you lost to addiction, you can see firsthand how it changes someone, and not in a good way. Drugs rewire the brain and become addictive so fast that you won't even be able to tell when the addiction starts.             Alcohol feels great in the moment, but never the next day. It has high sugar and alcohol levels, which are not good for the body. It can alter your entire personality and drive you to the brink of insanity. Also, drinking too much can lead to blacking out and not even remembering your activity. 2.
