The Social influences and sociological perspectives, including  functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism, influence us and impact our lives daily. Judgment is an automatic human response to questions, opinions, and appearance, and is a part of our lives. These perspectives are psychologically influenced by race and ethnicity, which is referred to as different.     This crime report site from the FBI is crucial for observing the charts and statistics of current crimes by race and ethnicity. Poverty, Work, and the Economy

Alyssa Richardson SYG 2010, Poverty, Work, Economy The major sociological factors expand in our lives in many ways. We experience them daily with human interaction, including at home, at work, socializing, and figuring out who we are and who we want to be. Poverty and unemployment rates have been at an all-time high in America. Social problems are affected by this when there are higher-level government, entertainment, and influencers who could make such a difference in this world of struggle. To contribute to the people who can't even live the American life because of prices of living. "   The poverty rate shows overall trends, but the total number of people also matters; many aid programs and funding decisions are based on the number of people in poverty, not the percentage. In 2024, that was 35.9 million people, down 4.2% from the 2014 peak of 46.7 million". What is the poverty rate in the US? | USAFacts I chose to investigate the first option, which examines income...
Children, Families, and Schools    SYG 2010, Children, Families, Schools Alyssa Richardson 3/11      The three theories and perspectives are crucial to life and understanding the diverse stories and experiences encountered through the people we meet. Everyone's family has a different story and different hardships. For example, when we first meet a friend, we know nothing about them, but then we get to know them better. Functionalism is crucial to education and adaptation. The education exposes us to experiences out of the norm for social interaction.           Conflict theory argues that highlighting the role of social changes and adaptation builds kids into stronger people. Symbolic interaction focuses on the development of Gender roles, student-teacher relations, and family impact on students at school.     Crime and Criminal Justice SYG 2010, Crime, Criminal Justice Alyssa R The major sociological perspectives include Functionalism, Conflict Theory, and Symbolic Interaction Theory. In criminal justice, we are all united and follow the same set of rules and regulations set up by the government . Functionalism Conflict theory comes into play when a criminal of defendant is thinking about what decisions they will make. We all have a conscience and have different ways of making decisions. When we are high or drunk, our decision-making process is affected  Gustavo Cruz is a wanted fugitive. He has charges of child rape and assault. A conflict theory that could be affected is his decision, based on his lawyer knowing the crimes he committed. Also, the decisions are being biased by the jury . "G ustavo Cruz is wanted for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old child and recording the alleged molestation on his cell phone in Indianapolis, Indiana". GUSTAVO CRUZ — FBI A nonprofit I d...

Blog 3 alcohol and drug’s Alyssa R SYG 2010, Alcohol, Drugs   Alcohol and drugs are a mix of evil in this world. When you have a family member who you lost to addiction, you can see firsthand how it changes someone, and not in a good way. Drugs rewire the brain and become addictive so fast that you won't even be able to tell when the addiction starts.             Alcohol feels great in the moment, but never the next day. It has high sugar and alcohol levels, which are not good for the body. It can alter your entire personality and drive you to the brink of insanity. Also, drinking too much can lead to blacking out and not even remembering your activity. 2. Sociological perspectives, functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism are all affected when a person is not in their normal state of mind It can be fine to have a few drinks, but not knowing what is happening. Interactions and reasonable think...

Aging, Health and Medicine.

1.  SYG 2010, Aging, Health, and Medicine  Alyssa Richardson 2/17/2026 Aging and Health are affected throughout our lifetime. Many people do not make it to grow old, so if we are lucky. We only get one body in this life, and taking care of it while we're young can help us expect better outcomes in old age. Our bones and skin will change, along with our mental state. By 2030, 1 in 6 people in the world will be aged 60 years or over. At this time, the share of the population aged 60 years and over will increase from 1 billion in 2020  ". Medicine is a crucial discovery made to help solve the human body's problems.  Older age is also characterized by the emergence of several complex health states commonly called geriatric syndromes.    In the late 18th century, all the way into the early 20th century, medicine and medical tools started to evolve. Many children and adults died from pandemics, and even the Influenza event caused the death toll to rise when ...

Educating yourself with Societal problems.

SYG 2010, Understanding Social Problems  Alyssa Richardson      1. In the world today, scientific methods, such as observation, analysis, and surveys, are used to determine the correct reasoning. Experiments have been devised by many people and are one way researchers use deductive reasoning in natural and physical sciences.    2. Symbolic Interactionism is used in daily life and social interactions. This one is most appealing to me because it is so common and important for humans to interact and provoke their minds. " Symbols, whether verbal or non-verbal, are not inherently meaningful; their significance is derived from social interaction. Rather than viewing individuals as passive products of society, this perspective sees people as active participants who shape their social world through everyday interaction". 3. Civil liberties are known as inalienable rights for all U.S citizens. We can express ourselves how we want to. Our rights can be violate din ...
